I didn’t originally think that I’d use the terms “Brunch” and “Golf” together in a sentence unless I was saying something to the effect of “I rather go to Brunch than Golf.” However, I was recently invited to check out Topgolf, a unique entertainment venue that combines a driving range atmosphere with a full service restaurant and bar. I’m happy to report I had so much fun trying the new Brunch menu and playing with my friends in our bay, and we all left without any injuries and all our teeth.
Your bay is where everything starts and ends; it’s highly advised that guests reserve a bay online before coming in, but walk-ins are welcome. You can select the types of games, length of times, number of players, order food all from the bay, but not before being coached on some basic game play & safety information. We settled on the game TopScramble, which separates players into two (or three) teams and uses each team’s best ball as the score for all the players on each team.
There were 4 of us, so we decided to order a little bit of everything and share. Mike had his eye on the Carrot Cake Waffles, but they were sold out, as was the Acai Superfood Bowl I was originally wanting. However, we had other tasty options to munch on in between swings (and let’s be honest, some misses too). We settled on the traditional French Toast, Carnitas Benedict, Ahi Tuna Avocado Toast (my personal favorite of the bunch), and the Breakfast Burrito.
We were additionally entertained by the lovely words of encouragement on our score screen, as well as the Eagles beating the Jets in the background. It was pretty good mix of people there for just for fun, but there was a group of gentlemen a few bays over that came to play with their own set(s) of clubs. I’m looking forward a return trip, hopefully they’ll have replenished the Carrot Cake Waffles, and I’ll have improved my skills.
